A day or two with Lucas.....

Just when I thought little baby Lucas couldn't possibly get any cuter, I spent a day with him!  He is so soft and cuddly you can't help but want to hold him in your arms the whole time, and of course he doesn't object!

During my time with Lucas, he cried, he fed, he pooped, he puked, and just then he was hungry again!  Just when we thought he might fall asleep, he lay watching us as if we had something up our sleeve....hhhmmmm??   Maybe the lights gave it away?  And so we waited patiently until the time was right.   Unfortunately, after several hours went by he gave us no choice but to call in the reinforcements...TIA.

Thank goodness for the aunts of this world, in particular the Tia that came to visit him that day, because as it turns out, when she walked in she brought the calm with her too.

Isabella & Mommy

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Isabella and her mommy.  Isabella is the cutest little grown up toddler I have ever seen.  Not having any children of my own and having heard the phrase often, it really is amazing to me how kids at this age truly are like sponges.  Not only is Isabella is a spitting image of her mother at the same age, confirmed when her mommy showed me one of her own pictures as a child, but she also has the same little personality.  She's happy, smily, loves to show you she likes you, and is a constant little busy-bee.  In only one afternoon I watched Isabella "sweep" the kitchen floor, "mop" the dining room floor, "re-arrange" the tupperware cabinet three times, and rearrange furniture that fell susceptible to her pushing!  It turns out Isabella is a little "mini-me" if you will of her mommy as well as her biggest fan.  She is absolutely adorable!  Having had the opportunity to photograph Isabella on more than one occasion I truly am thankful to be able to learn so much from this beautiful little girl and the special bond between mother and daughter at such an early age.
